Frequently asked questions about Engineer’s Marking Paste
Engineer’s marking paste is used for surface inspection of workpieces and visibly indicates the quality of machining.
Apply the paste to the surfaces to be inspected. By moving or pressing the surfaces together, you can immediately recognize fit accuracy or irregularities by the color layer. The more intense the color, the greater the irregularity.
Use High-performance cleanser R16 or Antistift (available from us) to remove the paste without residue.
No, it contains no abrasive particles and is non-abrasive.
It is ready for immediate use and does not need to be diluted or mixed.
Yes, as long as the surfaces are dry and free from dust or oil.
Engineer’s marking paste shows all deviations from the ideal surface, including burrs, pores, cavities, or pressure marks.
It makes fitting errors or irregularities immediately visible. This saves rework, reduces scrap, and optimizes the production process.
Our engineer’s marking paste (diamant) has an unlimited shelf life. If it has not been used for a long time, an oil film may form on the surface. This can simply be stirred back into the paste.
